Overview

It is an offence knowingly allow inappropriate behavior in licensed businesses. The business license holder, DPS or business user is responsible for preventing disordrerly conduct from occurring.

There is no detailed legal regulation on whom the license holder will serve. Responsible people in the premises must follow the law and use their own initiative when deciding who will be served alcoholic beverages.

Responsible person in a licenced premises should not forget that they are also responsible for the behavior of customers. The personal license holder, the person in charge of the business, or a police officer can ask a drunk or disorderly person to leave the licensed premises. It is an offense for this person to re-enter or attempt to re-enter the building. A police officer may be asked to assist in removing a drunk or disorderly person.
