Limits on temporary event notices
- A Temporary Event Notice may only be given by an individual and not, for example, by any organisation or club or business.
- Applicants must be over 18 to apply.
- The individual giving the notice is the proposed ‘premises user’. Within businesses, clubs or organisations, one individual will therefore need to be identified as the proposed premises user.
- The maximum period of time each TEN may last must not exceed 168 hours (7 days);
Please consult the below Temporary Event Notice limitations, limits are for a calendar year:
- A Personal Licence holder may give up to 50 temporary event notices (including 10 late notices).
- An individual who does not hold a Personal Licence may only give 5 temporary event notices (including 2 late notices).
- Only 20 temporary event notices may be given in respect of any particular premises/location.
- These 20 events may only cover a maximum of 26 days. (An event from 5pm to 1am next day would use up two of your 26 days.)
- The maximum number of people that can be present at the event at any one time is 499. This includes all people present, i.e. audience, spectators, consumers, staff, organisers, stewards, performers, etc.
- Either you or any business associates or colleagues must not have submitted a temporary event notice for the same premises (event location) within 24 hours before or 24 hours after the proposed event.
